Singapore

Singapore
Singapura was it's original name which means Lion City

Tristan's mother came to talk to us about the Country where she grew up and Tristan was born.

In 51 years it has developed from a swamp fishing village to the 3rd richest country in the World.

Singapore is the size of New Zealand's Lake Taupo and has 6 million people living there WOW. We have less than 5 million people altogether living in the North, South and Stewart Islands.

It is a very clean and green country.

The Merlion Statue the National Personification of Singapore. The lion head represents the Lion City  and the mermaid tail represents the fishing village of 51 years ago.

After the presentation the children made their own posters about what they had learnt.

Thank you Bambi 😀 We thoroughly enjoyed your informative presentation and learnt many things about Singapore.
